Waste Management is pleased to offer three distinct scholarship programs to children of WM employees.
Waste Management General Scholarship Program and the Stephanie Valdez Memorial Scholarship (for undergraduate study) Waste Management has established the Waste Management General Scholarship Program and the Stephanie Valdez Memorial Scholarship to assist employees' children who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Renewable scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice.
Robert Simpson Honorary Scholarship Program (for graduate study) Waste Management has established the Robert Simpson Honorary Scholarship program to assist employees' children who plan to enroll in full-time graduate study pursuing a Master's or Doctorate degree in Engineering (all types), Business or Law at an accredited institution of the student's choice.

These scholarship programs are administered Scholarship America, the nation's largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations and individuals. With the exception of the Stephanie Valdez Memorial Scholarship, awards are granted without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, gender, disability or national origin.
